Breeze Thru Car Wash raises $19,572 for Larimer County Search and Rescue

Breeze Thru Car Wash raised $19,572 in just one day for Larimer County Search and Rescue during its 12th annual fundraiser, reaching its goal of raising more than $100,000 over the past 12 years.

Funds will help buy a boat to deploy specially-trained dogs on water searches, improve urban search capabilities, and continue to outfit crews with the search and rescue tools needed to safely bring people home.

“Through their generosity, they further the mission of LCSAR,” Janice Weixelman, president of Larimer County Search and Rescue, said in a news release.

For more than 40 years, LCSAR has been locating and rescuing lost, stranded or injured people and educating the public on wilderness and mountain safety. The independent nonprofit relies heavily on donations and does not charge for its services.
