MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. (WWJ) -- Attention foodies: it’s Restaurant Week in Madison Heights.
The city is gearing up for its second annual Restaurant Week, an event that was launched last year to promote the city’s eateries during the COVID-19 pandemic. Restaurant Week begins Sunday and runs through Friday, Sept. 24.
There will be 21 restaurants offering up special deals throughout the week, as well as their everyday menus.
Madison Heights City Manager Melissa Marsh says the city has “the most diverse culinary scene in Michigan,” evident in the wide array of restaurants participating this week, ranging from sports bars and steakhouses, to seafood and sushi joints.
Many restaurants who participated in last year’s inaugural event are back for more this year, as well as some new faces.
Marsh says anyone who posts a photo of their meal in Madison Heights this week will be eligible to win a $50 gift certificate every day during Restaurant Week. All you have to do is use #MHRW2021 and make sure the post is public.
