- Best Fit Character: 18-Volt
- Passing Score With All: 25
- Strategy: In this mini-game, you must collect coins floating in the air while avoiding the Fuzzies defending the area. Projectile characters have the easiest time with this task, as they can just shoot the coins and the Fuzzies. Floating and jumping characters need to be more careful since touching the Fuzzies will lead to a defeat in the mini-game.
Super Mario Land
- Best Fit Character: Orbulon
- Passing Score With All: 25
- Strategy: In this mini-game, you need to hit a "?" block and collect the item inside. In the first level the coin inside is collected automatically, but in level 2 and 3 the item will fly out and must be grabbed. Flying and jumping characters can do this quite easily (Orbulon can just suck them up with his ray), and projectile characters can just shoot the block and then the item. Limited control characters will have more trouble completing these tasks quickly, particularly 9-Volt who will have to be precise.
Super Metroid
- Best Fit Character: Orbulon
- Passing Score With All: 25
- Strategy: In this mini-game, you need to guide Samus to the exit of a room by pushing or shooting her towards the doors. You will need to first break whatever blocks may be in Samus' way, then push her toward the door when she reaches the ground. As the levels progress the obstacles become more complex, so you will need to plan your approach to get Samus to the ground as quickly as possible.
Animal Crossing: New Leaf
- Best Fit Character: Dribble & Spitz
- Passing Score With All: 15
- Strategy: In this mini-game, you need to pop a balloon carrying a gift so that it drops safely to the ground. You need to make sure it does NOT drop into the gap in the middle of the screen. It seems you can drop the present onto either side of the gap as long as it doesn't land in the middle. As the levels progress the balloon starts to move more erratically, so make sure you time your popping of the balloon carefully (you can pause buffer if you need to slow it down).
Nintendo Badge Arcade
advertisement
- Best Fit Character: 18-Volt, 5-Volt
- Passing Score With All: 25
- Strategy: In this mini-game, you need to avoid a claw trying to grab you out of the badge arcade. You can do this by either moving out of the way or striking it to push it back. Projectile characters can shoot the claw, 9-Volt can hit it with his yo-yo, 5-Volt can even use her roar to scare it off. If you are a character who does not have access to an attack just get out of the way instead, but be careful not to fall into the holes around the bottom of the arcade.
Pikmin 2
- Best Fit Character: Orbulon, Dribble
- Passing Score With All: 30
- Strategy: In this mini-game, you need to strike a sprouted flower to harvest the Pikmin token inside. As usual, you can do this by striking the flower, though in the later levels you will need to wait for the flower to sprout before you can harvest it. Projectile characters can just shoot the flowers from afar, while melee characters will need to find the flower and strike it with their body.
Big Brain Academy
- Best Fit Character: Mike
- Passing Score With All: 15
- Strategy: In this mini-game, you need to create a shape by picking out the correct pieces of it. Characters like Mike have the easiest time doing this because their attacks are direct and accurate, but the real challenge here is just picking the correct shapes. Your best bet is to first decide which of the large pieces best fits the mystery shape, and once you have selected that the second piece needed is much easier to see. Pause buffering is a great way to get some extra time to think about the shapes.
Super Mario Bros.
- Best Fit Character: 5-Volt
- Passing Score With All: 20
- Strategy: In this mini-game, you need to get past Bowser and reach the axe on the other side to defeat him (or just shoot him directly to defeat him). Anyone who has played a Mario game will easily understand the goal here, but that doesn't make it easy for the cast of Wario who are not always as adept at dodging fireballs and hammers. The key is to take it slow, watch out for the obstacles, and jump or fly past when you see an opening. Projectile characters just need to shoot Bowser rapidly until he is defeated.
Fire Emblem: Three Houses

- Best Fit Character: Mike
- Passing Score With All: 30
- Strategy: In this mini-game, you need to select the correct response to flatter your date. This means picking the most positive phrase (ex: "Good job!" instead of "Try harder!", or picking the correctly spelled phrase ("I like you" instead of "I lyke yoo"). You can pause buffer to read the phrases more carefully, but ultimately you just need to pick the correct phrase and select it before the timer runs out.
Ice Climber
- Best Fit Character: 5-Volt
- Passing Score With All: 25
- Strategy: In this mini-game, you need to climb to the top of the mountain by flying or jumping through the platforms above you. If you have a projectile or a ramming ability you can break the ice blocks in your way, but those without an attack will just have to navigate normally. Most of these levels are actually pretty easy to get through BUT be careful of the falling icicles which can defeat you.
Donkey Kong Country Returns
- Best Fit Character: Dribble, Mike
- Passing Score With All: 25
- Strategy: In this mini-game, you need to defeat all on-screen enemies, either by shooting or stomping on them. The enemies appear in generally the same configuration each time, so you just need to be careful not to get hit by them as you attempt to strike them. Characters with long-range projectiles like Mike and Dribble can just strike out from far away without putting themselves at risk at all.
WarioWare
- Best Fit Character: 5-Volt
- Passing Score With All: 25
- Strategy: In this mini-game, you need to strike the hands carrying the non-video game objects so they cannot place them in the consoles. The main challenge here comes from quickly identifying which hand is carrying the game, then hitting the other hands without accidentally hitting the game hand. Projectile users can just shoot at the hands, while melee characters need to be a little more careful.
Destiny Game

- Best Fit Character: Pyoro
- Passing Score With All: 15
- Strategy: In this mini-game, you need to select the right number of moves necessary for a board game piece to reach the "GOAL" space. The best way to do this is to pause buffer to look at the board, decide how many moves you need to make, then stop the arrow on the right number. You can do this by striking the wheel as the arrow passes over the number you are selecting.
Splatoon 2
- Best Fit Character: Any except 9-Volt
- Passing Score With All: 25
- Strategy: In this mini-game, you need to stand on the side of the winning team in a Splatoon 2 match, based on the amount of paint coverage you can see on the map. Whichever team (color) had more map coverage is the side you should stand on. This is just a game of logic so no one character is best at it, but 9-Volt's erratic movements make him the worst at it.
Devil World
- Best Fit Character: 5-Volt
- Passing Score With All: 30
- Strategy: In this mini-game, you need to navigate a labyrinth to survive until the timer runs out. The only way to lose is to be crushed between the outer wall and the walls of the labyrinth. Any free moving character can complete this task easily by simply moving through the labyrinth, but grounded or stationary characters will have a hard time and need to use the gold hoops to move around.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- Best Fit Character: Orbulon
- Passing Score With All: 30
- Strategy: In this mini-game, you need to repeatedly strike a stasis'd object until it flies off. The item gets smaller in the later levels, but the objective remains incredibly simple: shoot, ram, jump into, or just interact with the object as much as you can as quickly as you can.
Luigi's Mansion
advertisement
- Best Fit Character: Orbulon
- Passing Score With All: 25
- Strategy: In this mini-game, you must reveal a ghost hiding in a room by striking the object it is hiding in. Pay attention at the beginning and you can see the ghost fly into the objects, which will also shake to give their spot away. You do not lose by selecting the wrong object, so the easiest solution here for most characters is just to hit all the objects before the timer runs out.
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker
- Best Fit Character: Orbulon
- Passing Score With All: 30
- Strategy: In this mini-game, you need to move the correct platform to complete a path that lets Toad reach the green star on the other side of the screen. You can move the platforms by strike the bottom of them (or lifting if you are Orbulon), but you only get one chance to choose the right one. Pause buffer if you need some extra time to think.
Ele-Conga & Autoplayer
- Best Fit Character: 18-Volt
- Passing Score With All: 15
- Strategy: In this mini-game, you need to turn on an instrument by spinning its handle around. The handle in this mini-game is small, so you need to be more precise to keep it spinning. Jumping characters will need to alternate between jumping into the bottom, then landing on the top on the other side to keep it moving. Projectile characters can just shoot the handle, but because many are limited in what directions they can shoot they will need to push it with their bodies as well.
Game & Watch Judge
- Best Fit Character: 5-Volt
- Passing Score With All: 30
- Strategy: In this mini-game, you simply need to pick the greater number from a selection of two cards. You can pause buffer if you need some time to think about the selection, then just interact with the card. In level 1 its just two numbers, in level 2 you have to count the dots on the card, and in level 3 it's an easy math problem.
WarioWare: Twisted!
advertisement
- Best Fit Character: Orbulon
- Passing Score With All: 15
- Strategy: In this mini-game, you need to spin a GameBoy Advance around to complete the mini-game on the screen. You can spin the GBA by hitting one of its corners but pay close attention to the image on the screen. You are playing a mini-game IN a mini-game, and you still need to solve both correctly.
Yoshi's Story
- Best Fit Character: Orbulon
- Passing Score With All: 30
- Strategy: In this mini-game, you need to collect a number of eggs laying around the screen. You can collect them by walking into them, or striking them with a projectile. In some of the later levels you will need to hit an Egg Block to produce more eggs to reach the goal number.
Super Mario World (Boss Stage)
- Best Fit Character: 5-Volt
- Passing Score With All: 5
- Strategy: In this mini-game, you need to navigate a stage from Super Mario World and reach the goal at the end. This is incredibly easy for any flying character, while grounded characters will need to take the classic Mario approach of running and jumping to avoid obstacles. The levels contain a variety of obstacles, but you have a lot of time to reach the end so don't feel like you need to rush. The three levels also seem to stay the same no matter how far you go, so you never need to adapt to new challenges.
