The Aerosmith frontman has owned various vehicles, from a convertible Jeep to a dune buggy decked out with more than $4,000 worth of speakers and stereo equipment, GQ reports. He also loves iconic motorcycles, including a few legendary Harley-Davidson hogs.

In addition, Tyler owns an impeccable 1941 Ford Pickup, complete with a logo for Trow-Rico Cabins, his family’s summer resort in New Hampshire.

One of his most prized possessions is the Lotus Super Seven, the forerunner to the Caterham Seven. Tyler admitted to jamming out to AC/DC’s “Back in Black” while cruising in this gem, made from 1961 to 1972.

And like other celebs, Tyler isn’t afraid to spend big money for the right car.

But none compares to his Hennessey Venom GT Spyder

It was May 2012 when Steven Tyler handed over $1.1 million for the fastest street-legal car. The Hennessey Venom GT Spyder could reach top speeds of 270 mph, and Tyler’s model was the first convertible.

The ultra-rare Venom was only one of five built for the 2013 model year. It packed a 7.0-liter V8 engine harnessing 1,200 hp. It could blaze from 0 to 60 mpg in just 2.7 seconds. Its six-speed manual transmission makes for an incredibly satisfying drive.

And when you’re as famous as Steven Tyler, you can also afford to donate cars. In fact, he gave his Hennessey Venom GT Spyder to a charity auction benefitting Janie’s Fund, an initiative supporting abused and neglected girls. Its name and mission take inspiration from the Aerosmith hit “Janie’s Got a Gun.”

The Venom sold for $800,000. Tyler reportedly threw in a band-autographed guitar and a weeklong stay at his Maui vacation retreat to sweeten the deal.

Steven Tyler’s net worth affords him such expensive cars

Celebrities often become famous thanks to chance breaks. But in Steven Tyler’s case, he and his band Aerosmith carved out their own long-term paths of success. Aerosmith released its first single, “Mama Kin,” on January 13, 1973. And the fans soon followed in a big way, earning the band 25 gold, 18 platinum, and 12 multiplatinum albums.

Tyler’s nickname is the “Demon of Screamin’,” a nod to his energetic stage presence and vocal style. He has been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, demonstrating his incredible impact on the music industry. He is also credited as the founding member of Aerosmith, one of the most successful bands of all time. And that legacy and reputation have contributed to Tyler’s sizable net worth of $150 million, Celebrity Net Worth reports.

It’s not uncommon for successful stars to splurge on car collections. Steven Tyler certainly has an impressive roster. He spent more than $1 million on a Hennessey Venom and gave it away for charity five years later. That speaks volumes about this enduring rock legend.
