FSU football is at its lowest point in my lifetime of 43 years. The Noles are 0-3 for the first time since 1976 in Bobby Bowden’s first season and legitimately may only win two games the rest of the year.

The coaching staff won the offseason with some nice moves in the transfer portal and, by all accounts, looked like an improvement compared to the previous regime. The attention to detail in every aspect was noticeable, from their work on social media to how they evaluated talent on the recruiting trails.

The practices had organization, and everyone who had first-hand accounts expected things to improve when the Noles took the field in 2021. That has not been the case aside from their opening game against Notre Dame.

I thought I had an idea with what happened in the Jacksonville State loss, but the performance against Wake Forest made me question everything about this Mike Norvell coaching staff. All of the factors that impacted his first year can not be a crutch in 2021.

How could they get nearly everything right off the field but fail when it comes to doing what they get paid to do, which is coaching?

I can tell you what the issues are with FSU football. The question is, can the coaches find solutions to the problems?
