Golden Girls coming to the big screen
Forever Golden! A Celebration of the Golden Girls comes to the big screen for the first time.
Celebrate The Golden Girls with a special screening of some of the most memorable episodes from the series.
The special screening is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, at Cinemark Hollywood 16 & XD, 9100 Canyon Drive.

Symphony to present Price and Shostakovich
Amarillo Symphony presents Price and Shostakovich at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 17 and 18 at the Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts, 500 S. Buchanan.
The brilliant Awadagin Pratt joins Maestro Bairos and the orchestra to perform Price’s attractive Piano Concerto in One Movement. The orchestra also performs an Amarillo Symphony premiere of Shostakovich’s epic Tenth Symphony, a serious and uncompromising work of climaxes, marches, and towering brass. This symphony conveys an unconquerable spirit in the face of oppression, and it remains Shostakovich’s most cohesive work. A perfect concert to start the fall series at the Globe-News Center.

Cinemark hosts 80th anniversary showing of 'Citizen Kane'
TCM Big Screen Classics Presents a special showing of "Citizen Kane 80th Anniversary" at 3 and 7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 19, and 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, at Cinemark Hollywood 16 & XD, 9100 Canyon Drive.

Creager brings adventurous music to Starlight
Roger Creager makes his way back to Amarillo at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, at the Starlight Ranch.
Creager is an adventurist; he does not like to sit still while the world passes by. Whether it’s climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, jumping off his boat to snorkel with wild dolphins, snow skiing in the Rockies, catching tuna 100 miles from shore, piloting his airplane to far-off concerts, spear-fishing around oil rigs, scuba diving coral reefs, surfing in Costa Rica, or playing music through the Italian countryside, he tries to get the most out of what the world has to offer. All of this finds its way into Roger’s music and live shows.

10th annual Texas State Bison Music Festival set
After postponing its annual concert in 2020, the Texas State Bison Music Festival
is back on track and ready to rock and roll on Saturday, Sept. 25.
Tickets, are on sale at BisonFest.com, include a full evening of music by Pat Green, Corry Morrow, Jason Boland & The Stragglers, Max Stalling and David Beck’s Tejano Weekend, according to a news release.
Aside from the music lineup, participants will also enjoy food vendors, shopping and craft booths set up along main street Quitaque.
Now in its 10th year, the event draws thousands of music-lovers from across the Tri-State region with the ultimate goal of restoring the Official Bison Herd of the State of Texas, according to the release. The festival's proceeds will go toward protecting and preserving the bison herd. "Located in Caprock Canyons State Park, the bison are direct descendants of the herd started by famed Cattleman Charles Goodnight in 1878. Against all odds, this one single herd of genetic-related Southern bison have managed to survive all these decades," the release states.
'Buddy' coming to Civic Center
"Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story" is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 27 - 28 at the Amarillo Civic Center Complex Auditorium.
Now in its 27th year, the “world’s most successful rock ‘n’ roll musical” continues to thrill audiences around the world. Viewed by more than 22 million people worldwide, "Buddy" opened in London’s West End in 1989.
"Buddy" tells the story of Buddy Holly through his short yet spectacular career and features the classic songs “That’ll Be The Day,” “Not Fade Away,” “Oh Boy,” Ritchie Valens’ “La Bamba,” The Big Bopper’s “Chantilly Lace” and many more! This show is just “Peggy Sue-perb.” Recommended for ages 8 and older.

Tim Allen show rescheduled to Oct. 2
Tim Allen: Live On Stage, which was originally scheduled for May 1, has been rescheduled for 8 p.m. Oct. 2 at the Amarillo Civic Center Complex Auditorium,
Entrance #12.
Ticketholders should retain their current tickets as they will be honored at the new date. Those who cannot attend the new date, may request a refund at original point of purchase.
Following more than 30 years spent in the stand-up comedy spotlight, winning a Golden Globe and an Emmy nomination for his hit television sitcom "Home Improvement," Allen has crafted his comedic style to take back the stage again.
Due to the “R”-rated nature/material of Allen’s performance, there is an 18 and older age minimum to attend the show. Venue staff may ask to see IDs from those appearing to be younger than 18.

Amarillo Opera to present 'Hansel and Gretel'
The Amarillo Opera will present "Hansel and Gretel" at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 2, at the Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts, 500 S. Buchanan St.
Headlining an inspirational and innovative season, Engelbert Humperdinck’s "Hansel and Gretel" tells the story everyone knows and loves.
Hansel and Gretel find themselves lost in the dark forest only to come across the fantastical candy house of an old woman. After feasting on her many confections, the two siblings soon find that it is them who are on the menu.

Nitro Circus returns to Amarillo
Nitro Circus is gearing up to make its highly anticipated return to Amarillo.
Nitro Circus will bring the high-flying You Got This tour to Amarillo for a Friday, Oct. 8 show at Hodgetown.
This is part of an extensive North American trek that will visit more than 25 cities across the continent this year. Fans can be there live as Nitro Circus’ roster of elite athletes, including champion BMX and scooter rider Ryan Williams as well as skilled professionals in freestyle motocross (FMX), skate and more, brave the world’s largest jumps.
The legendary 45-foot Giganta ramp will launch athletes into the sky at 40 mph, while on the moto side riders will send it 65-feet high.
