Abad gave up a run on three hits in one inning in Saturday's 9-3 loss versus Boston.
The southpaw remains inconsistent in a low-leverage role, as he's allowed four runs (three earned) across 5.1 innings in September. Overall, Abad owns a 6.75 ERA, 1.88 WHIP and 9:7 K:BB in 13.1 innings. He's added just one hold and is unlikely to see much more than mop-up duty for the rest of the year.
