REDFIELD — The Redfield Pheasants posted a 3-0 shutout win over the Sisseton Redmen in non-conference volleyball Thursday night, at the Redfield High School gymnasium.

Set scores for the Pheasants were 25-15, 26-24 and 25-19.

Gracie Fast pounded home 12 kills to lead the Redfield effort. Mallory Smith added eight kills and Denae Paulsen led the defense with nine digs.

Camryn Rohlfs had 21 assists and three aces.

Chelsea Smith had four ace serves in the match.

Redfield, now 8-3 on the season, will return to action Tuesday at Miller.

Elkton-Lake Benton 3, De Smet 1
ELKTON — The Elkton/Lake Benton Lady Elks held off a determined effort from the De Smet Lady Bulldogs Thursday night, pulling out a 3-1 win in non-conference volleyball action. Set scores for the Lady Elks were 25-18, 25-15, 22-25 and 25-23.

De Smet got 13 kills and 13 digs, five blocks and two aces from Kennadi Buchholz in the match, while Jada Burke had 10 kills and 10 digs. Katelyn Halverson had 13 assists and Emma Albrecht had 11, while Cori Birkel led the defense with 15 digs.

E/LB, which improved to 5-5, was led by Racheal Krog’s 14 kills and 11 digs, while Kailyn Drietz had 12 kills and 15 digs. Tevan Erickson had 39 set assists and 19 digs for the Lady Elks.

De Smet, now 5-5 on the season, opens play in the Lake Preston tournament today against Flandreau.
