LSU football put decals on their helmets to honor the daughter of running backs coach Kevin Faulk after she tragically passed away.

The LSU football family lost a member this week. The Tigers made sure to honor Kevione Faulk on Saturday when they played Central Michigan.

Faulk was the 19-year-old daughter of running backs coach Kevin Faulk. She was also an LSU student who worked with the football team.

The Tigers wore a “KF” decal on the back of their helmets in recognition of her sad passing. She would have turned 20 years old on Friday. A cause of death has not been released.

Kevin Faulk went to LSU, so his daughter was a legacy. He started working for the Tigers in 2018 and ended up taking over as running backs coach in 2020.

As you would expect following such a tragedy, Faulk did not coach during the Central Michigan game. Head coach Ed Orgeron said he would take time to care for his family before returning to the team.

“Obviously we put coach Faulk and his family first. Everybody here is sick to their stomach. Feel bad for coach Faulk. He’s a great man with a great family and I can’t imagine the pain they’re going through,” Orgeron said via Adam Hunsucker of the Lafayette Daily Advertiser.
