Tim Tebow hated targeting call against Auburn's Zakoby McClain vs. Penn State football

Tim Tebow had a strong reaction to Auburn linebacker Zakoby McClain being ejected for targeting in the fourth quarter of Saturday's Penn State football game. 

McClain was ejected with about 13 minutes left in the fourth quarter. At the point McClain was ejected, Penn State led 21-20. 

The play that led to McClain's ejection, he hit Penn State wide receiver Parker Washington at the 1-yard line. 

Tebow thought the officials took the game out of the players' hands.

"Hate to see the game taken out of the athletes hands when they are playing so hard on a bang-bang play on the goal line in the 4th Q. #Auburn Vs #PennState," Tebow said in a tweet. 

McClain will also miss the first half of the Auburn game against Georgia State on Sept. 25 due 

Auburn, ranked No. 20 in the USA Today Sports AFCA Coaches Poll, comes into the matchup 2-0 overall. Most recently, Auburn beat Alabama State 62-0 on Sept. 11.

No. 12-ranked Penn State enters the game 2-0 overall. On Sept. 11, PSU beat Ball State 44-13.

Entering Saturday, the all-time series is tied 1-1 between Auburn and PSU.
