FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - UPDATE: I-94 at 42nd Street has been reopened after police were called to a report of a person on the outside of the overpass fencing.

At approximately 9 p.m. Saturday, Fargo Police Department, Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Fargo Fire Department, and ND Highway Patrol officers responded to a report of an individual on the outside of the fence on the 42nd St. South overpass to I-94.

Traffic on I-94 was slowed in both directions for approximately 45 minutes and diverted temporarily while the person was assisted down to the ground by the Fargo Fire Department.

About 15 squad cars from multiple agencies assisted with traffic control.

ORIGINAL: We are learning there is a large police presence happening near the 42nd Street overpass along I-94.

Both sides of the interstate are currently blocked off.
