Happy Batman Day! The world is celebrating the Caped Crusader today but Matt Reeves continues to be hard at work. The director of The Batman has revealed he is still working on the DC film and decided to treat fans with a glimpse at never-before-seen footage of Robert Pattinson's Dark Knight.
It's no secret that The Batman is getting its own special panel at this year's DC FanDome and Reeves is currently hard at work making sure the presentation will be perfect this October. Still, the Cloverfield director couldn't resist posting something for Batman Day.
Reeves shared a new photo on his official Twitter account, confirming that he is still editing The Batman. The image shows a glimpse at Pattinson in action. Check it out below.
"Wow, I have been away so long...! Just popping my head out of the editing room for a moment to say #HappyBatmanDay ! Can't wait to share a lot more with you all four weeks from today at #DCFanDome ! (Sorry about the messy desk #LongHours)," Reeves wrote. He also added the hashtag #TheBatman and tagged the film's official account @TheBatman.
Fans are loving that Reeves is working hard to make sure everything about The Batman will be perfect. However, everyone was also trying to figure out what Pattinson is doing in the footage featured in the photo. It looks like Bruce Wayne is holding a weapon up and it might be one we haven't seen before.
Luckily, The Batman's special panel at DC FanDome could reveal what the footage is all about. It has been confirmed that Reeves will be in attendance at the virtual event where he is expected to share the new trailer for the movie. Needless to say, we can't wait for DC FanDome next month.
DC FanDome 2021 takes place on the official site on Saturday, October 16, 2021. The Batman is scheduled for release on March 4, 2022.
