The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety said officers arrested two men on weapons offenses Saturday afternoon.
Officers said they conducted a patrol in the 400 Block of West Frank St., in response to citizen complaints of drug loitering, fighting and gun violence.

Police said they saw multiple people showing each other extended firearm magazines around a parked vehicle.
Officers approached the individuals and saw firearms inside the passenger compartment of the vehicle, according to the department.
Police said officers searched the vehicle and found controlled substances, digital scales and several magazines filled with ammunition. Some of the ammunition was armor piercing, according to investigators.

Police said they arrested two suspects, a 19-year-old and 23-year-old, both from Kalamazoo. They are lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail, awaiting arraignment on weapons offenses, according to investigators.
