The Montana State Bobcats improved to 2-1 on the season after throttling the University of San Diego 52-10 on Saturday at Bobcat Stadium.
Quarterback Matt McKay found his tight end Derryk Snell for an eight-yard touchdown pass to get the Cats going early with 12:41 left in the 1st quarter.
Moments later McKay connected with freshman running back Elijah Elliott for 65-yards and Montana State led 14-0 midway through the first quarter.
Second quarter Cats leading 28-0 when Troy Anderson picked off San Diego’s quarterback Mason Randall for a 40-yard score to give the Cats a 35-0 lead at the half.
Second half Montana State continued to dominate on both sides of the ball in route to a 52-10 win. Up next for the Cats they travel to Portland to take on Portland State.
