Hundreds gathered Saturday in Clinton Square, downtown Syracuse to rally against COVID-19 vaccine mandates.
Founder of CNY Informed and an Intellectual Property Paralegal Nicole Pruett organized the rally.
Pruett said the people gathered for a 'Freedom Revival' because freedom needs to be revived in New York State.
"We are out here today to ask our elected officials to support the constitution. We support the constitution and we are encouraging them to do the same," said Pruett.
Several polls conducted in the last two weeks found a majority of Americans back the Biden Administration's vaccine policy, which is to require businesses with 100 or more employees to order those workers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or show a negative test result at least weekly.
Pruett said Saturday that it wasn't just about vaccines or masking but is specifically about supporting the constitution and wanting elected officials to not be infringing upon their rights and violating their bodily autonomy or religion or taking away guns, or so forth.
