WEST POINT, N.Y. - The UConn football team lost 52-21 on Saturday afternoon to Army (3-0) to fall to 0-4 on the season.
UConn trailed 42-0 at the half but outscored the Black Knights 21-10 in the second half.
In his first career start, quarterback Tyler Phommachanh rushed for 60 yards and two touchdowns including his 38-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.
The freshman threw for 109 yards on 11 completions on Saturday.
Brian Brewton scored the other UConn touchdown on a 96 yard kickoff return at the end of the third quarter.
Aaron Turner had a career-high 49 receiving yards on two catches while also breaking off a 22-yard run on his only carry of the day.
