Hailey Bieber has been known to clap back at rumors, especially when they involve her relationship with her husband, Justin. Now, the model is opening up about one of the biggest false narratives that seems to pop up about the couple again and again.
While appearing on Demi Lovato’s 4D podcast, Hailey talked about the importance of having resilience and a thick skin in order to withstand the nonstop gossip that comes with being an incredibly high-profile couple. “How do you keep yourself going when people are attacking you or just saying mean things?” Demi asked, adding that they can only imagine with Hailey has had to deal with.
The model explained that keeping the truth in mind is always empowering, before going on to talk about one specific narrative that has followed her and Justin around for years. “There’s one big fat narrative that goes around that’s like, ‘Justin is not nice to her and he mistreats her,’” Hailey recalled. “And I’m just like, it’s so far from the truth and it’s the complete and utter opposite. I really am lucky to say I’m with someone who is extremely respectful of me. Who makes me feel special every single day, and so when I see the opposite of that, I’m just like ‘huh?’”
She went on to explain how the truth is the most powerful weapon against “lies and bullsh*t,” adding, “So if the lie is they’re miserable in their relationship, it’s like, well, the truth is that we’ve literally never been more obsessed with each other and we have so much fun together, and you have to surround yourself with people, that remind you of that too.”
And if you look to recent appearances by the Biebers, it’s pretty obvious that they are, indeed, obsessed with one another! The celeb pair was spotted having an all-time blast at the Met Gala just a few days ago, and who could forget the sweet comments Justin made about Hailey while accepting his Artist of the Year award at the 2021 VMAs? “I look over here and I see my beautiful wife,” Justin said, while looking into the audience at Hailey. “And I just wanna say, I love you so much.” Here’s to loving love!
