USC football plane tipped over after landing in Pullman for Washington State game
USC football’s eventful week isn’t getting any quieter after the plane taking the Trojans to Washington State tipped over after landing.
Airplane travel doesn’t always go smoothly, but most people don’t have to deal with the rear of the plane tipping down onto the tarmac.
Planes are not supposed to look like this.

That’s the plane that was carrying the USC football team to Pullman for their game against Washington State, the first since Clay Helton was fired.
USC football’s plane tipped backwards after landing
Ryan Kartje of the Los Angeles Times tweeted that no players were in the plane, but “several USC staff and coaches were still on the plane when it began to slowly tip. There was a loud crash when it hit.”
“Thankfully, no one was hurt. Everyone moved to the front, and it tipped back,” Kartje continued.
If you believe in signs, this may not be the worst thing for USC. Some may view it as a bad omen, but the last time the Trojans had a scary travel moment on their way to a road game it turned out great.
In 2007, USC had an even more terrifying incident when they were traveling to South Bend to play Notre Dame. Severe turbulence while flying through a lightning storm hurled players out of their seats with several telling the LA Times they thought they were going to die. Lawrence Jackson had a popsicle stick pierce the roof of his mouth.
The Trojans were shaken, but not unsettled. They trounced the Irish that Saturday 38-0.
