Bantamweights will collide in November in hopes of getting a step closer to the top-15.

Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion’s plans confirmed to MMA Fighting that a matchup between Adrian Yanez and Davey Grant will take place at the UFC’s event on Nov. 20. While the location and venue have yet to be announced, the card is expected to take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas. ESPN Deportes was first to report the booking.

Yanez has been on a tear since 2019 with seven consecutive victories, which includes a 39-second TKO win on Dana White’s Contender Series, and three straight finishes to kick off his octagon career. Most recently, Yanez earned a comeback stoppage win over Randy Costa which netted him a performance bonus at UFC Vegas 32 in July. The 27-year-old revealed on Friday that he signed a new four-fight deal with the promotion ahead of his upcoming matchup.

Grant looks to bounce back after having his three-fight winning streak snapped by Marlon Vera at June’s UFC Vegas 29 event. Formerly a contestant on season 18 of The Ultimate Fighter, Grant earned a decision win over Grigorii Popov, along with back-to-back knockout wins over Martin Day and Jonathan Martinez during his prior streak.

Other fights confirmed for the event include a welterweight bout between Michael Chiesa and Sean Brady, as well as a flyweight matchup pitting Joanne Calderwood against Alexa Grasso.
