Woman walking home from work stabbed in San Ysidro
The victim was walking through a park when she was confronted by a group
A woman walking through San Ysidro Community Park was stabbed by another woman late Friday, San Diego police said.
The 31-year-old victim was walking home from work through the northern end of the park about 10:50 p.m. when she was confronted by a group of men and women, police said. A woman from the group then stepped forward and stabbed the victim in the arm and torso, police said.
The victim was taken to a hospital with wounds not believed to be life-threatening, police said.
Police did not have a description of the attacker. Gang detectives were investigating the assault.
