UFC Fight Night 192: Anthony Smith vs. Ryan Spann odds, picks and prediction

In a light heavyweight bout in the main event, Anthony Smith faces Ryan Spann at the UFC Fight Night 192 – also known as UFC Vegas 37 – at the UFC’s APEX Facility. Below, we analyze the UFC Fight Night 192: Smith vs. Spann odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The entire card can be viewed on ESPN+ with the prelims beginning at 4 p.m. ET and the main card at 7 p.m. ET.

Ever since a loss for the title at UFC 235 to Jon “Bones” Jones, Smith has been on a mission to get back on top. However, he suffered a KO/TKO to Glover Teixeira May 13, 2020, and a unanimous-decision to Aleksandar Rakic Aug. 29, 2020, to knock him off the rails.

Smith bounced back with a pair of first-round wins via submission against Devin Clark Nov. 28, and TKO – Doctor’s Stoppage April 24, at UFC 261 against Jimmy Crute.

Spann holds a three-inch reach advantage over Smith, and he’ll look to use that advantage to keep his counterpart at bay. Spann also holds a 3.55-to-3.00 significant strikes landed per minute lead.

UFC Fight Night 192 Smith vs. Spann: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Smith (35-16-0) | Spann (19-6-0)

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

SPANN (+130) is the better value play here. Win or lose, it’s always when Spann is fighting. He dropped Misha Cirkunov last time out in the first round March 13, but he was knocked out in the first round by Johnny Walker Sept. 19, 2020. Before that, Spann was on a 4-0 run to kick off his UFC career. Look for him to get the kill shot in this one at some point.

Over/Under (O/U)

SPANN BY TKO/KO (+370) provides an opportunity to more than triple up, and is worth a roll of the dice if you like the underdog to pull off the victory.

In addition, UNDER 2.5 ROUNDS (-150) is certainly worth a look. Each of Spann’s past two outings have ended in Round 1, so he doesn’t like to waste time. Each of Smith’s past two bouts have ended in Round 1, too.
