Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale's Jamie Tate (Alexander Lincoln) has had a rough time of it recently with the revelation that he'd poisoned his mum Kim (Claire King) and his breakup with Dawn after Kim scared her off with threats of losing custody of her son Lucas.
Now, he finds himself in an even stickier situation as his one night fling with Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) has led to some unforeseen dilemmas.
Despite carrying his child, Jamie has made it clear to Gabby that he doesn't want anything to do with her or their unborn son, but pressure to make it up to his mum has led to him considering Gabby's outrageous plan to elope.
However, his heart truly lies with Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley), but she's stated that she doesn't want anything to do with him.

So with Gabby's ultimatum ringing in his ears – marry her or he'll be cut off from the Tate family fortune – what will Jamie decide?
"I think all of Jamie's options are spent at this point," Lincoln revealed to Inside Soap. "He doesn't necessarily feel any differently towards Gabby; he still doesn't want to be in a relationship with her. But he doesn't see a way out – the financial aspects of marrying Gabby, and getting back in his mum's good books, are where Jamie's head is at."
The ultimatum, however, doesn't go according to plan as Jamie thinks the idea is "a bit mad" and runs off to see Dawn in one last attempt to patch things up before signing himself away into a loveless marriage.

"Jamie decides this is his last chance to try and get Dawn back. He loves Dawn the most – this is the best relationship he's been in. He still really cares for her, and he knows that Dawn cares for him too. He's just trying to convince her that he's still the man she fell in love with."
Will Jamie be able to make things right with Dawn, and will he sacrifice the Tate fortune to be with her?
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
