One of the headlining matchups in the Engilsh Premier League on Saturday sees the defending champs get set to take on one of the remaining winless teams on home soil, as Manchester City hosts Southampton.
One of the most dominant clubs in the league over the past decades has been ManCity. City has won three Premier League titles over the past four seasons, including winning their seventh championship last season, 12 points clear of second-place Manchester United. This season, they have started with a 3-1 record, with their lone loss coming in their season opener at Tottenham. Since then, they have not surrendered a goal, including 5-0 wins over Norwich and Arsenal.

Southampton has been a team that has suffered from mediocrity over the years. Consistently, finishing around the 10th spot in the league, they have hardly been threatened with relegation, but they have hardly been in contention to compete even for a Europa League spot. They are one of five clubs to have yet to win a match this season, but have only lost once so far. They come into Saturday with an 0-1-3 record, and since losing to Everton in their first match of the season, they have picked up draws against Manchester United, Newcastle and West Ham.
