Brenden Craig, Hunter Campbell, Harold Fannin among high school football's top Week 5 performers
A seven-touchdown game by one running back. A six-touchdown game by another. A third running back nearly hitting the 300-yard rushing mark, in a loss.
Yeah, Week 5 brought out the best in some Stark County-area high school football players.
Unbeaten Fairless, Jackson, Lake and West Branch all are represented here. So is McKinley and Marlington. And Massillon's Austin Brawley pretty much has a spot reserved here.
So let's take a look at who did what on the fifth Friday of the season, and what records got broken or tied.
QUARTERBACKS
Carson Colucci of Fairless
Threw for 108 yards and two TDs, with both scoring passes going to his older brother, Coltin, in rout of Orrville.
Carson Dyrlund of Hoover
Delivered an efficient performance in his first Federal League game, rushing for 86 yards and two TDs on 12 carries and throwing for 73 yards on 8-of-9 passing in 35-0 win at GlenOak.
Connor Evanich of Marlington
Threw for 280 yards and two TDs on 17-of-24 passing in 42-7 win over Minerva.

Jack Talkington of Central Catholic
Threw for 303 yards and a score (28-of-41, but with four interceptions) and ran for 150 yards and a score on 24 carries in a 30-20 loss to New Philadelphia.
Keaton Rode, Amarion Williams of McKinley
Combined to account for three TDs in helping Bulldogs win third straight by beating Green 34-14. They were a combined 8-of-15 throwing for 122 yards, with Rode throwing both TD passes. Williams ran for a score on a dazzling 14-yard TD.
Trevor Van Horn of Green
Accounted for 198 yards of total offense and scored twice on short runs, but it wasn't enough to prevent a loss to McKinley for a Green team minus some firepower (Trey Martin and Quinn Simmer were out injured).
Brendan Zurbrugg of Alliance
Threw for 269 yards and two TDs on 20-of-32 passing for 269 yards with no interceptions in 27-21 OT win over Salem.
