Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021, is the day set aside to celebrate the oh-so-good cheeseburger.
A variety of restaurants are offering deals in honor of National Cheeseburger Day.
Friendly’s Restaurants are offering a free medium sundae with a purchase of any cheeseburger for Friendly’s Sweet Rewards Club members. Customers can join the Sweet Rewards Club by downloading the mobile app or joining at https://www.friendlysrestaurants.com/login.
According to “Today,” when you use the McDonald’s app on Sept. 18, you can get a double cheeseburger for 50 cents. When you download the app and join MyMcDonald’s Rewards you get a free large order of fries. After your first purchase, you can get your choice of hash browns, a vanilla ice cream cone, McChicken or cheeseburger free.
Metro Diner has a new Cheeseburger Wrap that weighs almost a half a pound. The wrap feautures seasoned ground beef, grilled onions, pickle slaw, tomatoes, lettuce, bacon, American cheese, ketchup, and mustard - all wrapped up in a sun-dried tomato basil tortilla. Metro Diners other burgers include a breakfast burger piled with cheese, hash browns and an egg; and the bacon, mushroom, Swiss burger.
Wayback will offer buy-one-get-one free classic burgers and has created the Cheeseburger Hall of Fame in honor of National Cheeseburger Day.
Wayback Burgers’ Classic Burger features two beef patties cooked-to-order, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions, topped with ketchup and mustard. Guests can redeem the offer in-restaurant or by ordering through the Wayback Burgers app.
The 2021 inaugural class includes: Jimmy Buffet, Cheeseburger in Paradise; Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell, Good Burger; Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall and John Amos, Coming to America; and John Landis on behalf of John Belushi, Animal House.
Wendy’s will celebrate National Cheeseburger Day with deals through Sept. 19. Premium cheeseburgers, including the new Big Bacon Cheddar, will be buy-one-get-one-free via an offer in the app.
The Big Bacon Cheddar features a burger topped with applewood smoked bacon, crispy onion tanglers, American cheese, cheddar cheese all on the new toasted cheddar bun.
And don’t forget Wendy’s other deals - $1.99 croissant breakfast sandwiches through October, Hot & Crispy Fries are only $1 every day this month through an offer in the app, $2 off any premium combo through Oct. 3 with an offer in the app and on Saturdays and Sundays this month in the mobile app, fans can receive a free six-piece nuggets, spicy or crispy, with purchase; and a free sausage, egg and cheese; bacon, egg and cheese or honey butter chicken biscuit with purchase.
