A pedestrian who was hit by a car days earlier died Friday. The crash happened in Spartanburg County just after 8 PM on Monday. The South Carolina Highway Patrol reports that accident happened on Hwy 296.
The SCHP identified the driver as 39 year old, Latonya Sharee Mattison. The accident report says the pedestrian was trying to cross the highway when Ms. Mattison was turning onto the highway.
The pedestrian died just after 3 PM on Friday afternoon. The SCHP did not identify the person killed in their statement Friday night. No charges or citations from the crash were announced.
