It’s time to get your game on this weekend. Whether you watch a live theater performance, attend a game night or run in the dark, there’s plenty of fun things to do with the whole family this weekend.
For one night only, Led Zeppelin comes alive at the Rustin Pavilion in Southlake Town Square. At 7 p.m. on Friday, the tribute band Swan Song will bring back all of Led Zeppelin's glory. Established in 1999, Swan Song is one of the Metroplex’s longest-running tribute bands, and they can’t wait to bring one of history’s greatest rock bands back to life.
Southlake isn’t done with butterflies just yet. From 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, the Bob Jones Nature Center and Preserve will release hundreds of monarch butterflies into the wild. Come and enjoy some fun goodies and activities, interact with the exhibits and learn everything there is to know about these beautiful butterflies!
Community Storehouse is hosting its 22nd annual Run In The Dark this weekend, a 5K and community festival that the whole family can enjoy. Come to Roanoke Community Park at 5 p.m. on Saturday for an evening full of food trucks, bounce houses, pony rides, a petting zoo, a gaming truck, laser tag and more! Stick around after the races for a live concert and fireworks.
It’s game night at Tapout Fitness! From 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, gamers can come to the fitness gym to play games, have fun, compete and see who the best gamer is out of all of them! Featured games include “UFC 3,” “Call of Duty: Warzone,” “Super Smash Bros.” and “Just Dance 2020.” The entry fee is $5.
After a year without live performances, Carroll Theatre is back with its first live show of the 2021 season “The Book of Liz!” Based on the book by David and Amy Sedaris, “The Book of Liz” tells the story of a nun who runs away from home to experience new adventures. Tickets are $10, and the show runs 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
