Shang-Chi Actor Reveals Epic Razor Fist Deleted Scene

There is little doubt that Razor Fist was a real scene-stealer in Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings. However, it looks like we could have seen more of the character if certain scenes were not removed from the theatrical cut. Florian Munteanu has revealed that they had shot an epic scene that was ultimately deleted and it almost shared more of Razor Fist's relationship with Wenwu.

Munteanu recently spoke to ComicBookMovie where he confirmed that the climactic battle was supposed to be feature more of his character.

"We had that big end battle, and you [originally] would have seen a bit more there from Razor Fist," he said. Munteanu then teased how the longer scene would have revealed a bit more about the character's weapon of choice.

"I'm looking forward to people seeing that because there was a reason why he replaced his blade with the dragon sword and fights with two swords, but I don't want to spoil too much and I don't want to give away too much," he said.

Munteanu also spoke about how Razor Fist looks up to Ten Rings leader Wenwu and the idea of being led by the Mandarin's daughter might mean something else.

"I always call [him] stepdad because, at the end of the day, Wenwu gave him a new life and purpose and a home. He trained him and took him away from the streets. That's also something you will see in the bonus material," he stated. "[Xialing's] his daughter, so there's more meaning to that than just following a new leader, but we'll have to see what happens."

Munteanu stated that all these deleted scenes could be featured in the Shang-Chi Blu-ray and DVD in the future. He had previously teased Razor Fist's origin story being explored in a possible sequel.

Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings is still screening in theaters.
