By Friday, that number was 513, up 43 since Thursday, and nearly matching the 514 cases last seen on January 29th. That’s the result of 69 new positive tests countered by 26 recoveries since Thursday. With 186 test results in all in the last day, the positivity rate was 37%. Averaged over the last 7 days, the positive rate is 12.17%. 14 persons are hospitalized for treatment of COVID-19 symptoms, one less than on Thursday.
Sheboygan County is currently experiencing a high rate of community transmission, with 218 cases per 100,000 persons.
54.6% of Sheboygan County’s residents have received at least one dose of vaccine, amounting to 62,977 persons. 51.8%, or 59,754, are fully vaccinated against the SARS-CoV-2 virus. That compares with statewide rates of 56% and 52.8% respectively.
