When it comes to denim, I'm as discerning as it gets. I own more pairs than I'd like to admit, but most days of the week, you can likely find me wearing a flirty, feminine dress and strappy heels if I want to look and feel my best. I love the look of a lived-in pair of jeans that exude cool confidence and fit like a glove, but I rarely embrace that aesthetic despite my growing collection of denim because none of them fit just right.

So when I stumbled upon the internet hype over the uber-popular (we're talking 22,000-person waitlist and social media ads galore) AYR Bomb Pop jeans, I calmly did some research, read a few dozen reviews, and before I knew it, I was convinced that I needed to try on a pair, stat. Plus, Oprah is a fan of the brand – need I say more?.

"Holds you in, but won't hold you back," reads the simple product description. Consider my interest piqued.

Upon closer inspection, I could see how this undeniably perfect pair of jeans could potentially do a world of good. As expected with all things AYR, the vibe is timeless, minimalistic, and understated. The brand does a phenomenal job of producing premium, cool-girl staples that we all need, but rarely do we think about. Nary a bell or whistle, this line is void of trendy details, loud prints, or attention-seeking silhouettes. Just the classics here, even when it comes to its hard-to-get denim.

The Bomb Pop jeans come in three inseams, four washes, and a handful of waist sizes (23 to 34). Once I zipped them on, I realized these miracle jeans did the unthinkable: They made me feel amazing, empowered, and elevated all at once. The 25-inch inseam was perfect on my petite-yet-curvy frame, and although they're marketed as a straight-leg jean, I spied a tiny kick flare at the ankle to balance my proportions. Hallelujah.

These classic jeans are appropriate for the office, for date night, or for casual errands about town. These have a high waist to hold you in, but not so high that you're suffocating. The fabric is stretchy and light, but sturdy and solid, too. I can't explain it, but AYR has quietly reinvented a classic and reinvigorated my spirit — all at the same time. These jeans uniquely move with you, and can be worn with heels, ankle boots, sandals, sneakers, or flats. I also wore them with bedroom slippers last week for a full work day, despite the fact that I work from home. You know these are good when you've officially traded in your lazy day leggings for a pair of comfy, flattering Bomb Pops.
