OREGON INLET, Dare County —
The North Carolina Division of Marine Fisheries certified a new state record fish on Aug. 28 that was caught in Oregon Inlet.

A 52-pound Golden Tilefish was brought in by Robert Feldhaus of Nags Head breaking the previous record by six pounds.
The world record for the species is 65 pounds, 3 ounces caught off New Jersey's coast in 2012.
Feldhaus' fish was 44.5" long and had a 33.75" girth.
