The film is called "Johnny and Clyde," and it's being produced by Rhode Island native Chad Verdi.
Verdi has shot several films in the Ocean State but said this one will be the biggest yet.
"Filming in Rhode Island is different than filming in New York or LA or New Mexico or Puerto Rico where I just came from because you have a lot of relationships. And it's all about relationships, close down a street, get a restaurant, it's very engaging," Verdi said.
Verdi said they try to hire as many people from Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts as possible.
