Pittsburgh Pirates infielder Kevin Newman is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Chicago White Sox.
Newman will move to the bench on Friday with Cole Tucker starting at shortstop. Tucker will bat sixth versus right-hander Elieser Hernandez and the Marlins.
