OPINION: Facebook execs turning a blind eye for the sake of profit and political power

Facebook stock continues to increase, amid reports employees of the company are flagging content from drug cartels and human trafficking with ‘weak’ responses from executives.

Joe Concha is slamming the social media giant and lawmakers for turning a blind eye for the sake of profit and political power.

“Why would Democrats in government ever do anything to upset their biggest Super PAC,” Concha asks rhetorically.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has stated that the platform allows its users to speak on an equal footing regardless of social status. An additional report from the Wall Street Journal reveals that some high-profile users are exempt from stated standards.
