After an injury delayed his KalPa debut, LA Kings prospect Kasper Simontaival scored twice on Friday.

Less than three minutes into the opening frame, LA Kings 2020 third-round Kasper Simontaival notched his first goal with his new team.

I said it in the subtweet to the above, but I love this play for a variety of reasons. Simontaival’s forechecking created the errant pass and was there for the put-back off the deflection.

A good start for the young forward. But wait, there’s more!

With approximately four minutes remaining in the second period and KalPa on the powerplay, Simontaival fires a rocket stickside and finds the back of the net for his second goal of the game.
