Police have made an arrest in the fatal hit and run that claimed the life of a cyclist on Wednesday.

Antwain McDaniel, 40, is charged with leaving the scene of a deadly accident. According to the Charleston County Sheriff's Office inmate search, McDaniel has posted his $50,000 bond.

North Charleston Police say McDaniel struck a cyclist at the intersection of Dorchester Road and Constitution Avenue shortly after midnight on Wednesday.

Police released a picture of a van on Thursday that was believed to be tied to the accident before McDaniel's arrest later that day.
