Love and Theft to perform at the Lodge next week

Hot country music duo Love and Theft will perform next week in the Holiday Bay Room at the Canyon Lake Lodge at 8:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Makayla Phillips, American Idol Finalist and America’s Got Talent Golden Buzzer Winner, will be the opening act beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets for the Sept. 25 concert are $34.00 for general admission and $54.00 for VIP. Tickets can be purchased at www.clpoa.com/loveandtheft.

The Canyon Lake POA sponsors the Concerts at the Lodge Series, of which this concert is a part.

Love and Theft have eight hit singles on the US Country Airplay Charts, three studio albums and nine music videos. Love and Theft has been nominated five times for the CMA, ACM and CMT music awards.

There will be a meet and greet after the show hosted by Love and Theft. Everyone attending the concert is welcome to participate.

“The ladies absolutely love Eric Gunderson and Stephen Liles who make up the country music duo, Love and Theft,” Producer Doug Schultz said. “I expect the same here in Canyon Lake.”

Makayla Phillips is a local girl who is currently in the studio recording her first album.

“She wooed the Canyon Lake audience at last year’s Rock the Boat Concert at the amphitheater,” Doug said.

“I’m excited for the Canyon Lake concert goers to experience the new sound system in the Holiday Bay Room,” Doug said. “It’s the epitome of great concert sound and those attending will be treated to a top-notch concert experience.”

This concert marks the 23rd concert since the Concerts at the Lodge Series began.

“Where else can you have a concert experience by driving just a few minutes to the venue, be able to park for free, and have dinner, if you choose, in the same building and actually witness a record label recording artist perform live?” Doug said. “Well, you can, right here in Canyon Lake.”
