ST. LOUIS - St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the Blues have signed forwards James Neal and Michael Frolik to professional tryouts (PTO).

Neal, 34, appeared in 29 games with Edmonton last season, posting 10 points (five goals, five assists) and 11 penalty minutes. The Whitby, Ontario, native is a veteran of 13 NHL seasons, including stints with Dallas, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Vegas, Calgary and Edmonton. Overall, he has accumulated 555 points (294 goals, 261 assists) and 581 penalty minutes in 850 career regular-season games.
Frolik, 33, dressed in 10 games overall last season, including eight with Montreal and two with the AHL's Laval Rocket. The Kladno, Czech Republic, native has appeared in 13 NHL seasons, including stints with Florida, Chicago, Winnipeg, Calgary, Buffalo and Montreal. Overall, he has totaled 384 points (159 goals, 225 assists) and 317 penalty minutes in 858 career regular-season games.
