An online Lindenwood student died on Aug. 30, at her home in Chester, Illinois.

Libby Jo Bollmann, 26, was majoring in Criminal Justice and had completed two years at Lindenwood. She had been working full time as the Deputy Clerk for the Randolph County Courthouse, according to the Grey Stone Crematory.

Bollmann was the youngest child in her family.

“She was a perfect sister, the kind you dream about,” said Chelsie Setzekorn, Bollmann’s sister. “She was the youngest sibling, and yet cared as if she were the oldest.”

Bollmann enjoyed spending time with her family and her friends in her hometown.

“She was always a pleasure to be around, the funniest of people,” Setzekorn said. “ She was a small town girl, the kind that loved her roots, loved her hometown memories, a simple soul.”

In her obituary, Bollmann’s family mentioned several of the traits that made her someone others enjoyed being around.

“Libby would keep the household light and full of laughter,” her family said. “Libby was beautiful, funny, charismatic and loyal.”

Setzekorn also saw similar characteristics in her sister.

“She had the most kind heart of anyone I knew. She was generous, loyal, and a great friend,” Setzekorn said. “She had dreams of working as a counselor for those who need help from their criminal pasts, people who want and deserve second chances.”

A celebration will be held in her memory at the American Legion on Sept. 25 from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

“Her simplicity was anything but boring, it was her own version of perfect,” Setzekorn said.
