Kansas City police said a woman was killed and two children were hurt in a hit-and-run crash early Friday.Police were called at 6:19 a.m. to 12th Street and Bales Avenue on the crash.Accident investigators said a Saturn SUV had been heading south when the driver ignored a stop sign and struck an eastbound Hyundai sedan. Police said the driver and passenger of the Saturn fled ran off after the crash.Authorities said the woman driving the Hyundai died at the scene.Two children riding in the vehicle, a 10-year-old and a 4-year-old, were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
