BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Bellingham Police say they are looking for a woman who robbed a convenience store, and a woman at gunpoint near Western Washington University Friday morning.
Police say at around 10:30 a.m. , a woman reportedly approached another woman outside the JJs In and Out at 2219 Douglas Ave, just two blocks from WWU, and threatened her with a handgun. The suspect then reportedly took the woman's purse and robbed JJ's, police say.
Officers are currently searching for the woman. She is described as a woman in her 30's, about 5' 6" to 5' 8" wearing a red face mask, black hoodie, and gray shorts to her knees.
University Police advise students who live in the area to exercise caution when leaving their homes.
If you see someone who matches the woman's description, police ask that you call 911.
