BEREA, Ohio -- Get ready to pawty at Berea Animal Rescue Friends’ (ARF) upcoming events at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds.
The nonprofit organization will host the Monster Mutt Dash and Howl-O-Ween AfterParty on Saturday, Oct. 9. Pets and their human families are invited for the fun.
The Mutt Dash -- in its 12th year -- is a 5k for people and their dogs to compete in, along with a one-mile fun walk, according to a press release. It starts at 8 a.m.
Immediately following the Monster Mutt Dash is the Howl-O-Ween Party, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., with a pet costume runway parade and contest for attendees to participate in. According to a press release, the event will also include a DJ, vendors, a balloon artist and a beer garden.
Admission to the Howl-O-Ween Party is free. Registration for the fun run costs $20, and registration for the 5k costs $25. Participants can register at ARF’s website.
According to a press release, the event typically pulls in more than 1,300 people and 400 dogs. The Monster Mutt Dash is ARF’s biggest fundraiser of the year.
