Lafourche Parish has given an update on areas of the parish that are still under a boil-water advisory due to damage from Hurricane Ida. All communities South of the Intracoastal Canal in Larose are still under a boil-water advisory. This advisory includes all customers serviced by the district: in the communities between the Intracoastal Canal and the Lafourche-Jefferson parish line (on both sides of Bayou Lafourche)in Romero Subdivision (in Bayou Blue)in Grand Bois Community Effective immediately, the Lafourche Parish Water District No. 1 has lifted the boil-water advisory for all communities North of the Intracoastal Canal in Larose fed by the district’s South Distribution System. Areas where the advisory has been lifted include:in the communities between the South Coast Gas Office in Raceland and the Intracoastal Canal in Larose (on both sides of Bayou Lafourche)in Gheensin Des AllemandsAreas where the advisory was previously lifted are the following: in Raceland above the South Coast Gas Officein Raceland along and adjoining Highway 182, Highway 652, Highway 653, and the North Service Roadin Bayou Blue, excluding Romero Subdivisionin the community of St. Charlesin Thibodauxin West Thibodauxin Choupic, Chackbay, Choctaw, and Kraemer

Lafourche Parish has given an update on areas of the parish that are still under a boil-water advisory due to damage from Hurricane Ida.

All communities South of the Intracoastal Canal in Larose are still under a boil-water advisory. This advisory includes all customers serviced by the district:

  • in the communities between the Intracoastal Canal and the Lafourche-Jefferson parish line (on both sides of Bayou Lafourche)
  • in Romero Subdivision (in Bayou Blue)
  • in Grand Bois Community

Effective immediately, the Lafourche Parish Water District No. 1 has lifted the boil-water advisory for all communities North of the Intracoastal Canal in Larose fed by the district’s South Distribution System.

Areas where the advisory has been lifted include:

  • in the communities between the South Coast Gas Office in Raceland and the Intracoastal Canal in Larose (on both sides of Bayou Lafourche)
  • in Gheens
  • in Des Allemands

Areas where the advisory was previously lifted are the following:

  • in Raceland above the South Coast Gas Office
  • in Raceland along and adjoining Highway 182, Highway 652, Highway 653, and the North Service Road
  • in Bayou Blue, excluding Romero Subdivision
  • in the community of St. Charles
  • in Thibodaux
  • in West Thibodaux
  • in Choupic, Chackbay, Choctaw, and Kraemer
