The Vegas Golden Knights Foundation will host its annual One October Memorial blood drive in two weeks.
According to a press release, the public drive held in conjunction with Vitalant will be held at City National Arena in Summerlin from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 1.
The event is held each year in memory of the lives lost from the Las Vegas mass shooting in 2017.
Donors must make appointments online in advance at donors.vitalant.org, using sponsor code VGK.
Select players, Chance the Gila Monster, members of the VGK Cast and retired Golden Knight Deryk Engelland will be greeting donors throughout the day.
A limited number of tickets for that night's preseason game against the Los Angeles Kings will also be donated to participants as available.
Vitalant says there is an urgent need for donors of all blood types, especially O-types. There is also no waiting period to give blood after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine.
