Lincoln Police were called to NW 54th and W Knight Road on a suspicious vehicle around 2 a.m. on September 16th. LPD officers spoke with 25 year old Avery Knight, who was in the driver’s seat of a Honda Odyssey.
Officers saw an open container of alcohol and a bag of marijuana in the center console. Officers then conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle and found a a disassembled handgun on the floorboard of the vehicle and two loaded magazines in the console.
Knight was a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing a firearm. He also had a suspended license.
Knight was arrested for possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person, driving during revocation, an open container of alcohol and possession of marijuana.
