KINGSTON, N.Y. — The Red Feather Singers and Drummers, members of the Association of Native Americans of the Mid-Hudson Valley, will be at the Matthewis Persen House in Uptown Kingston on Saturday, Sept. 18.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Red Feather Singers and Drummers will showcase Native American drumming, crafts and artifacts. Among the items on display will be Native American artifacts from Barbara Fox Eyes, who will explain their significance. She and her sister, Susan Singing Rain, will assist children in making beaded friendship bracelets and coloring Native symbols. Grandmother Judith Laughing Owl will teach Native American drumming on a drop-in basis.

The event is free and open to the public. The Matthewis Persen House is at 74 John St., at the corner of  Crown Street.
