COVID-19 Vaccine and Test Sites Reopen Wednesday September 15th, 2021

$100 Cash Card Incentive Program Extended to September 30

Harris County Public Health (HCPH) COVID-19 testing and vaccination sites at Dick Graves Park and Bear Creek will reopen tomorrow as scheduled.  Residents can find additional vaccine locations near them by clicking here.

Harris County Judge, Lina Hidalgo, has also approved to extend the $100 cash card incentive for people who receive their first COVID-19 vaccine dose until September 30th, 2021. Harris County residents who receive their first dose of the vaccine from any provider in Harris County can fill out a brief online form to see if they are eligible to receive a $100 virtual cash card by text message or email. For additional incentive program and eligibility information, visit Ready Harris.

For those who still have not received a vaccine, this is an excellent opportunity to keep yourself and community safe, while taking advantage of this limited incentive. The best protection against COVID-19 is getting the vaccine. Although there has been a slight decline in COVID-19 cases and testing positivity rate over the past week, Harris County’s threat level continues to be at the highest-level red.

Vaccines are free and do not require insurance or immigration status. No appointments are needed, but if you would like to make one visit vacstrac.hctx.net or call 832-927-8787. To find a location near you click here.

Parents must accompany their children, ages 12-17, to be vaccinated or children must bring a consent form signed by a parent or legal guardian. Consent forms can be found at vacstrac.hctx.net. Children aged 12 – 17 are eligible for the two-dose Pfizer vaccine.

Parents with children under 12 are encouraged to get them tested frequently to see if they have the virus. Some adults and children infected with COVID-19 may not have symptoms, but are still contagious. If parents know their children are infected, they can monitor them to make sure they do not develop serious symptoms and keep them isolated so they do not infect others. Testing is free at HCPH sites. Appointments are not required for testing, but are recommended due to increase demand currently,  click here to find a site near you or call 832-927-7575.
