Here comes the story of the hurricanes in Wareham

WAREHAM - The Wareham Historical Society invites the public to share pictures and memories of the hurricanes that impacted our community and the New England area at the Wareham Historical Society presentation Monday: Remembering hurricanes that impacted Southcoast.

A ship runs aground in Somerset during the Hurricane of 1938.

There will be displays of books, pictures and articles on the 1938, 1944, and 1954 hurricanes. Guests will be invited to share memories and stories of their experiences. Refreshments will be served after the presentation/discussions. The event will start at 7 p.m. at the Methodist Meeting House, 495 Main St.

Admission is free to members and is $2 for non-members.
