Walt Disney World Cast Members Announce Protest Against Mandatory Vaccine Mandate

With the deadline for many of The Walt Disney Company’s Cast Members to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 rapidly approaching, a number of Walt Disney World Cast Members are planning to protest against the company’s mandate, according to Fox 35.

A march is planned for Friday at 2 PM at 12151 S. Apopka Vineland Road, where Cast Members will walk up and down Lake Buena Vista Boulevard through Walt Disney World. A similar protest is also expected on Friday in Anaheim, California, home to the Disneyland Resort.

Event organizer Nick Caturano told Fox 35, “We understand that COVID-19 is a very real health concern that we all have to take seriously, but many cast members have a legitimate basis for refusing vaccination.”

Caturano added that Cast Members are refusing the vaccine for many reasons, including religious beliefs, medical concerns, as well as those who believe in attaining a natural immunity or simply want to have control over their decision, saying “so many cast members felt alone and felt like they were the only ones who thought this was wrong. I think we were made to feel that way on purpose. But we have connected now, and we are pushing back.”

Saturday marks the deadline for many Cast Members to receive at least one dose of the vaccine. Those who don’t take the vaccine may risk being fired from their jobs.

  1. Will they also be carrying signs indicating what parts of the resort they work in so that informed guests can avoid unsafe areas of the park with unvaccinated cast members?

  2. The Cast Members refusing to get vaccinated should be fired plain and simple. I’m sorry but using religion as an excuse is bs. There is no where in the bible that states you can not get vaccinated.

And as far as the Cast Members “who believe in attaining a natural immunity,” it’s called death because everyone dying right now from COVID are unvaccinated.

And as far as the Cast Members “simply want to have control over their decision,” why don’t you talk to all the women in red states who want control over their right to chose but are having it taken away.

I’m sorry but I’ve lost my patience with all these unvaccinated people who want to use one excuse or another just to avoid a shot that could save your life. IF you truly have a medical condition that prevents you from getting the shot that’s understandable.

I’m also tired of these stupid celebrities who tweet or retweet outright lies, stories or debunked conspiracy theories about the vaccine and its side effects; why don’t you try filling that air in your heads with real facts.

    • Incorrect. Bible teaches to follow your convictions as long as they don’t go against the word of God. So it’s very possible God says for one person to do something and not another but that one person needs obey or it’s a sin. Romans 14:23

  3. Medical reasons, I understand. Everything else, I don’t. People throw around the word “opinion” like you’re reviewing a movie, and not something that affects more than just yourself. I know our nation has protested every vaccine since forever, but it’s becoming quite silly with all the misinformation. I find it funny that people would rather use medication that’s questionable than take a vaccine, which is something the vast majority of us have already taken in multiple forms or another since we were a baby. Good luck with your health insurance. I’ll be laughing at your GoFundMe when your hospital bills are over $100k.

  4. I’m glad that they’re standing up for this. Some people have actual legitimate religious beliefs or other reasons to not get a vaccine, and they shouldn’t be punished for it.

  5. Then they should quit or be fired. The vast amount of people they come into contact with shouldn’t be forced to be exposed to them

  6. GOOD FOR THEM.
    Do not be shamed.
    Your body….your choice.
Tyranny is not an American Ideal.
Fight against a needless vax. If it
is so great then those who are vax will
not get sick from an Un-Vaxxed person.

  7. Freedom isn’t free. In this case, these people’s freedom to choose to remain unvaccinated will limit their employment opportunities.

  8. Good for them. If the vaccine is so wonderful and effective then why are so many vaccinated people scared of unvaccinated people? This fear-mongering about who is and isnt vaccinated has to stop. If you choose to be vaccinated then good for you, quit worrying about everyone else. If you choose not to be vaccinated then good for you too. People are trying to turn this free country into something else. What is it the pro abortion people like to say about killing unborn babies….my body, my choice. Funny how they can kill someone else’s life and body while inside their body to use this argument, but not about a shot…..

  9. Good, walk, be accounted and noted for future employment opportunities elsewhere. Religious, most religions are pushing the vaccine, what voodoo religion isn’t?

  10. Good for them! I’m all for the vaccine, but it should be taken at each individual’s discretion about whether they believe it is right for them or not. This is America after all. Home of the free because of the brave.

  11. WDW cast members are not healthcare providers. The vaccine was mandated upon me, because I am a registered nurse. Cast members work in the field of hospitality. Disney executives are pushing this because of their liberal ties to the Democratic party. I believe that I am for vaccinations, but I am against mandates. People who have had covid should be given a card as well. Their natural immunity from having had the disease is far superior to the vaccinated. People with religious or medical reservations should be respected. Disney needs to get some common sense.

  12. If you don’t take a stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.

I applaud these CMs and I am confident they will succeed!

  13. If they don’t want the vaccine, they don’t have to work at Disney. Thank you Disney for caring for others.

  14. Other than medical conditions, these people need to understand that the pandemic is still taking place and it should not be underestimated.
