When it comes to LEGO Star Wars, the last few weeks haven't exactly been short on pieces of news, with trailers for the likes of upcoming video game LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and Disney+ Halloween special LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales. Now, there's even more, in the form of LEGO Star Wars Halloween Shorts, which have already arrived on the official LEGO YouTube channel.
There are five shorts in total, each of which focuses on a different set of characters, and they're available to watch for free in a single video compilation, which clocks in at just under eight minutes. Check it out below:

Mando, Boba, and Fennec
The first short features the Din Jarin, Boba Fett, and Fennec Shand, as they try to decorate Boba Fett's newly-named 'Starship' for Halloween. Its pyrotechnics, ghostly white sheets, pumpkin heads, spiderweb, and TP rolls galore, in this first of five micro movies. The scene looks to be a parody of The Mandalorian Season 2's "Chapter 6: Things Fall Apart", which sees the three characters team up to battle the Empire, while Moff Gideon's Death troopers make an attempt for Grogu in the Jedi Temple ruins.
Mando, Moff, and Grogu
Mando soon finds himself in Imperial settings, where he discovers a Stormtrooper Halloween party (one even kindly offers him some candy) before discovering Grogu in Moff Gideon's captivity. The two fight, clashing Darksaber with Beskar's spear - just as they do in The Mandalorian Season 2's finale "Chapter 16: The Rescue". However, on this occasion, when Mando rescues Grogu, the child seems far more interested in the candy than he does in his surrogate father figure.
The Bad Batch and a Battle droid
The third short sees a Battle droid spooked out in a creepy forest which is seemingly haunted. Before long, the droid encounters Clone Force 99 - yes, the Bad Batch! The team gathers pumpkins and piles them onto the Marauder when the Battle droid tries to join them, only to be spat back out onto a pumpkin patch. The team then delivers the pumpkins to a nearby village, ready for the festivities. This one doesn't appear to be based on anything specifically, but it's still pretty neat seeing Hunter, Echo, Tech, and Wrecker in LEGO form.
Ahsoka and Darth Maul
The penultimate short see Ahsoka Tano arrive on Mandalore, ready to duel with Darth Maul. But despite a very convincing montage, it turns out the two are actually just carving pumpkins with their lightsabers! Cheering spectators include Bo-Katan, other Mandalorians, and Clone troopers. Ahsoka and Maul compete with their intricately carved pumpkins, which include iconic ships and characters that span Star Wars lore. This scene is based on The Clone Wars episode "Phantom Apprentice", one of four films that make up the show's epic finale.
Moff and Grogu
Moff is playing a card game with Stormtroopers when they discover things floating around on their ship, sending them into a state of panic (although the chances are that, if you see things floating around in the faraway galaxy, a Jedi is probably behind it). Moff and his Stormtroopers investigate and discover Mando. However, they're soon confronted by a cloaked figure. But nope, it's not Luke Skywalker - it's Grogu, who then uses his Force powers to subdue his enemies. This short also parodies The Mandalorian Season 2 finale, replacing the fearsome Jedi with an adorable one.

It's unlikely this new content has any relation to LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales, and is likely just a few extra tricks and treats in the lead up to Halloween, although it's possible they will also end up on Disney+ at some point in the next few weeks.
And that's just LEGO - there's a lot going on on the live-action and animated side of things in the faraway galaxy too, whether it's other video game trailers such as Knights of the Old Republic and Star Wars: Hunters, or news on brand-new shows like Star Wars: Visions, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan Kenobi, The Book of Boba Fett and The Mandalorian Season 3. But in the midst of all this major news, these new LEGO Star Wars shorts might be just the sort of inconsequential fun you're looking for.
